The branches of a tree connected to the ground from which it grew. A tight play of lines that contrasts with the organic nature of the tree. Supplemented with diagonal orange lines, which draw visitors into the installation and direct their gaze upwards. The image changes with the light; the sunlight reflects on the lines and in the evening the entire installation is illuminated.

Over the past three days I have been building the installation ‘Connection’ for Kunstsmullen in Heeze. The event will not start until 29 September, but I have already started building. Three days of climbing up and down the ladder, tying ropes, looking and deciding, hammering in tent stakes, tying and cutting ropes. Installing lighting.
