Shades (2025)

For Zilver op Water in Lelystad I made a floating light art work: a raft with six ‘flags’ of organza on it. Different shades, matching the theme Diversity in harmony of the event. The raft turns in the wind, and the light plays with the fluttering flags. The way in which the flags are illuminated varies from moment to moment, with the wind, as does the experience of the visitors. The reflection in the water adds something to this, especially with modest wind.
